Highland Park is a neighborhood in Central Austin, which is mostly known for its large, beautiful, well-maintained homes and its abundant natural scenery with beautiful views of the city skyline and Lake Austin. The Highland Park area is situated on a hill at several hundred feet elevation so views are plentiful here.
This community dates back to 1947 and has continued to develop over the years. The Highland Park neighborhood hosts several parks and nature preserves as well as a historic military post that is still functioning to this day.
