Rosedale is a quaint and leafy residential area with humbly proportioned homes dating back to the 1930s and 1940s. The neighborhood features the 5-acre Ramsey Park with a swimming pool and athletic facilities, and offers access to miles of hiking and biking trails along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt. The history of the Rosedale neighborhood begins with farm and dairy land in the 1860s. In the 1900s, four florists and nurseries found their home in this area. Much of the nursery stock planted during that time remains, as witnessed by the many large and lovely trees in the neighborhood.
