More upscale shopping and dining is available at The Domain, a mixed-use shopping center with national retailers about 5 miles north of the neighborhood on MoPac Expressway.

Additionally, active residents and families of Shoalmont have several public parks nearby including the Brentwood neighborhood park, and the Beverly Sheffield District Park along the banks of Shoal Creek, both of which offer plenty of hiking, biking, running and playscapes for kids.
