The real estate website’s 2025 list of the best cities for college graduates had a strong Sun Belt theme. Texas dominated the top five choices of the survey, with first-place Austin being followed by Dallas at No. 3 and San Antonio at No. 4. CultureMap Austin shares, "apartment rent prices in June were more expensive in Austin and Kyle than they were anywhere else in the metro, according to the latest monthly rental report from Zumper.

The rent report, which analyzed active listings from the previous month across all cities in the Austin area, tracks the most and least expensive rent prices for one- and two-bedroom apartments, and determines the cities with the fastest growing rents. Listings were aggregated by city to calculate median asking rents.

CultureMap Austin shares, "A new market trend report from Zillow has confirmed that pet-friendly rentals are leasing much faster than non-pet-friendly units, and Austin's rental market had the No. 1 most pet-friendly rental listings on Zillow in 2024.

The report, called "Saying Yes to Pets Helps Landlords Find a Tenant Faster," analyzed more than 11 million rental listings that appeared on Zillow last year to discover the share of pet-friendly rental listings in the biggest U.S. metros. The report also calculated the median number of days it took for pet-friendly units to find a tenant, in comparison to than those that did not allow pets.

The Lone Star State as a whole led the nation with the most pet-friendly rental listings on Zillow.…

KXAN Austin writes, "After Real estate experts reported in December Austin had the largest rent decrease between 2023 and 2024 of the country’s largest metros, new insight from Rent.com data is revealing which capital city neighborhoods are cheapest for renters.

Rent.com pulled average rental data and annual change data for Austin from February 2025 figures, with all neighborhoods included listed on the apartment search engine’s rental market trends dashboard.

Rent.com’s analysis revealed the average rental prices in Austin included $1,261 for a studio (up 14% year over year), $1,387 for a one-bedroom apartment (down 4% year over year) and $1,713 for a two-bedroom unit (down 3% from this time in 2024).

CultureMap Austin shares, "A new rental report has revealed Texas is leading the nation with the highest single-family home rental construction growth, and Austin is among the top 10 U.S. metros building the most new homes for rent.

The analysis from rental listings website Point2Homes examined construction rates and building permit data for single-family homes that are "located in build-to-rent, professionally managed communities" across America.
