Austin Business Journal writes, "Count Realtor.com as the latest California company to name Austin its new corporate headquarters.

The real estate platform, which already has an Austin office at 901 E. Sixth St. and employs 400 people here, is making the city its official headquarters instead of its previous home base of Santa Clara, Calif., according to an announcement. The move appears to be mainly a change of letterhead for the time being, but CEO Damian Eales said the company expects to add hundreds of new hires in Austin over the coming years, with many likely to be recruited locally.

The company will maintain its presence in New York and Scottsdale, Arizona, but will be closing its offices in Santa Clara and Chicago.

Austin Business Journal writes, "Oracle Corp. seems about ready to move forward with long-term plans to expand its headquarters campus near downtown Austin.

The software giant in late August filed documents with the city of Austin outlining plans to add a third office building, measuring 287,510 square feet, to the site it owns off East Riverside Drive. It could also build a 255-room hotel.

The growth will be to the west of Oracle's (NYSE: ORCL) existing office buildings, which measure nearly 1 million square feet combined. The company wants to modify a planned unit development, or PUD, that governs the area's zoning by adding a more than two-acre tract bordering Tinnin Ford Road. Tesla will relocate its headquarters to Austin, CEO Elon Musk announced at the company's annual stockholder meeting Oct. 7.

"I'm excited to announce that we are moving our headquarters to Austin, Texas," Musk said at the meeting, which was held at Giga Texas, Tesla's under-development production plant in Southeastern Travis County.

He emphasized that despite headquarters shifting from Fremont, California, to Texas, Tesla's activities in California would continue at a strong pace, with output from both Tesla's Fremont factory and its Reno, Nevada, gigafactory increasing by around 50%. However, he said the company's space for growth was limited in Fremont, and he expected even greater growth in Texas.
