Austin Business Journal shares, "Cedar Park, a suburb of roughly 78,000 people about 20 miles northwest of downtown Austin, has been courting life sciences companies in recent years. Enovis Corp. marks its biggest win, which picked the suburb for a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will create at least 162 jobs. But there also have been a handful of smaller victories, and observers contend the pipeline holds the potential for plenty more.

That has led Cedar Park officials to seek partners to build a life sciences cluster, according to Arthur Jackson, the city's chief economic development officer. Austin Business Journal reports, "A new 100-acre residential neighborhood could be coming to Taylor, where economic growth has been explosive thanks to Samsung’s 2,000-acre, multibillion-dollar semiconductor plant that's under construction in the city.

The development, called Turner Springs, would be home to single-family and multifamily residences as well as commercial and retail properties, according to Taylor Planning & Zoning Commission documents. The commission recommended the project for approval at its July 9 meeting.

If it comes to fruition, the project would be built on two properties that have been owned by an entity known as Turner Bobby Jr Etal since 2000, according to the Williamson Central Appraisal District. Insite…

Austin Business Journal shares, "A real estate developer has secured approval to build a 272-acre master-planned community near Elgin called Triada, potentially bringing 875 homes to the area as well as a park and sports complex.

Pflugerville-based Qualico Communities — a subsidiary of Canada's Qualico — on May 7 won approval from the Elgin City Council for a slew of agreements to help with the project north of U.S. Highway 290 and west of County Line Road northeast of Austin.

Austin Business Journal reports, "an Austin hotel is planned for redevelopment as part of a project expected to create hundreds of new homes north of downtown.

At the vacant Radisson Hotel Austin - University, developers plan to renovate the existing 298-room hotel and aim to raise as many as 1,000 new apartments and add 40,000 square feet of commercial space to the site, according to a rezoning request moving through City Hall.

The property at 6121 N. I-35, owned by ASAP Austin LLC, rests between the St. John and Coronado Hills neighborhoods. The roughly 8-acre site is at the northeast corner of I-35 and U.S. Highway 290. It is valued at $22 million by the Travis Central Appraisal District.
