Rendering of a Landsea Homes build in the New Braunfels master-planned community of Vintage Oaks. LANDSEA HOMES

Austin Business Journal reports, "months after relocating its headquarters to North Texas from Southern California, a national homebuilder is erecting residences in one of Central Texas’ most explosive cities.

Dallas-based Landsea Homes (Nasdaq: LSEA) purchased 84 lots to build on within Liberty Hill’s sprawling 688-acre Lariat neighborhood — developed by Liberty Hill-based Randolph Texas Development LLC — the homebuilder announced Aug. 3.

Landsea, which announced its corporate relocation to Dallas in March, now has more than 1,000 homes planned for cities surrounding Austin. And, according to Landsea’s website, Central Texas is the state’s only region Landsea has projects being worked on in.

Landsea’s offerings within Lariat will be varied,…

The expansion of the Rough Hollow neighborhood is one of the many new residential real estate developments in the area in recent years. (Barry Tate/Community Impact)

Community Impact Austin writes, "while many areas in the Hill Country are built out, including West Lake Hills and Rollingwood, the Lake Travis area still has many high-end residential real estate developments in the works.

Residential developments continue to be a significant area of focus in Bee Cave, Lakeway and Spicewood.

“In areas like Westlake, there isn’t anymore land—everything’s developed, so there isn’t room for new construction,” said Michelle Jones, a real estate agent for Grossman & Jones in Bee Cave. “We’re fortunate in our market in Lake Travis because we have land going out toward [Hwy.] 71.”

Jones said although there are a couple of multifamily developments in the area, single-family homes, often associated with a plethora of…

The neighborhood, called Park Central, will bring more than 400 single-family and attached homes to the fast-growing city north of Austin from Tri Pointe (NYSE: TPH), a national homebuilder that is one of the busiest in the region. While Tri Pointe's Austin division has jointly developed communities in Central Texas, Park Central will be the first community it self-develops on its own, Division President Bryan Havel said in an email.

Park Central is rising on 77.8 acres at Sam Houston Avenue and Bell Gin Road in southeast Georgetown. Homes will sit on 45- and 50-foot lots and range from…

Loraloma will be home to about 450 cottages, villas, estates and custom homesites, said Joe Rentfro, Thomas Ranch managing director.

TexasMonthly writes, "near the edge of a cliff that plunges hundreds of feet down to the shore of Lake Austin, a five-thousand-square-foot steel-frame structure with tentlike walls houses the potential future of ultraluxury real estate marketing: a holodeck.

The term comes from Star Trek, in which Federation starships were equipped with special rooms where crew members could create and interact with holographic environments. At Lake Austin, the enormous space brings to virtual life, in photographic detail, one of the most opulent condo buildings Texas has ever seen. Its creator bills it as the first installation of its caliber anywhere.

Let’s back up. When entrepreneur Jonathan Coon announced his plans to build a sprawling complex along the top…

Cotton Gateway would consist of no more than 1,600 homes on 491 acres. SCREENSHOT OF CALDWELL COUNTY DOCUMENTS

Austin Business Journal reports, "the Caldwell County Commissioners Court unanimously approved March 28 a development agreement between the county and a subsidiary of Lennar Corp. for a neighborhood of up to 1,600 homes in the rural area south of Austin.

The development agreement will allow Lennar — one of the region's busiest homebuilders — to transform the 491-acre parcel into a large community of single-family homes, plus parkland and amenities, according to county documents. Cotton Gateway, as the development is currently known, would be a significant injection of new homes in Caldwell County, part of the region stretching between Austin and San Antonio that some experts believe will evolve into the state’s next metroplex.

The development…

Towers reports "with new towers and height-friendly rezonings throttling up the pace of growth around the Domain area of North Austin all the time, it’s kinda hard to keep up with everything planned here — but there’s one upcoming project you really ought to know, since it’s one of the most promising steps in this ongoing experiment of converting the suburban sprawl around the intersection of Burnet Road and Braker Lane to an almost downtown-like urban environment.

Verde Square, planned by local firm Ironwood Real Estate in partnership with Austin-obsessed global real estate firm Karlin, imagines a four-building complex on more than six acres of land along Burnet Road located just west of the new Q2 Stadium, taking full advantage of this…
