Austin Business Journal shares, "Canyon Ranch Austin Wellness Resort is bringing a resort and more homes to Spicewood. 

About one year ago, Canyon Ranch filed plans for its first Austin location with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The approximately $122 million project, according to TDLR, is on track for completion and a fall 2026 debut, said CEO Mark Rivers in a statement. The project’s legal name is CR Austin Resort LLC.

Canyon Ranch will be on 600 acres along Lake Travis, located at 600 Moonlight Bend, and will feature state-of-the-art facilities for health, fitness, performance, dining, lodging, outdoor adventures and what is said to be the largest spa in Texas. "Construction to gain steam at luxury Lake Travis master-planned community Thomas Ranch"

Austin Business Journal reports, "The expansive Thomas Ranch luxury housing development on Lake Travis has secured $106 million in financing for construction of infrastructure and initial homes in the master-planned community.

Thomas Ranch developers Areté Collective and the Wasatch Group will use the loan, underwritten by D.A. Davidson’s Development Finance Group, to complete roadwork, water and wastewater treatment plants and other infrastructure at the 2,200-acre development along State Highway 71 near Spicewood, according to a Dec. 3 announcement. The financing also will support construction of the first homes in Loraloma Private Club & Estates, a luxury enclave within Thomas Ranch where homes and homesites are now available.

"Lots for sale in second phase of luxury Lake Travis community called Travis Club"

Austin Business Journal shares, "About 50 more homesites are available in one of Austin’s most expansive luxury housing developments along the shores of Lake Travis.

Travis Club, which has generated more than $100 million in homesite sales, now has 48 more homesites on offer, representing the second phase of the sprawling project, according to an announcement from its developers. Infrastructure construction for the first phase of the 1,500-acre site, co-developed by California-based real estate developer Haas & Haynie Corp. and Austin-based real estate investment firm Castle Hill Partners Inc., is already underway.

"Luxury home prices hit a new high, more 'starter' homes now cost $1M"

Austin Business Journal reports, "The U.S. luxury housing segment has bucked some of the trends affecting the rest of the residential real estate market, in large part because those buyers and sellers are less affected by affordability issues.

But like the broader housing market, luxury homes continue to see a surge in prices. In fact, luxury home prices hit a new high in the second quarter of this year, with a typical home in the category selling for $1.18 million, an 8.8% increase from the same quarter last year, according to Redfin Corp. data.

"Hundreds of apartments slated to rise in Thomas Ranch development west of Austin"

Austin Business Journal reports, "Thomas Ranch, a 2,200-acre mixed-use project on the shores of Lake Travis, continues to take shape.

Salt Lake City-based developer Areté Collective LP has been toiling away on the first phase of construction — a private residential community named Loraloma — while Wasatch Premier Properties recently came on board to build hundreds of multifamily units on another 58 acres west of Austin. Areté Collective recently sold the 58 acres to Wasatch, an arm of Utah-based Wasatch Group, according to a Jan. 30 announcement.
