The MUD will be built out by New Home Co., according to its Austin Division President Bill Peckman, who spoke at the meeting. The owners of the property at the intersection of Westinghouse Road and County Road 110 are Debra Kay Briggs and Marc Briggs, according to the development agreement.

Overall, there would be 900 single-family homes in the new neighborhood, and Peckman said the home lots would be 50, 60 and 70 feet. The project is on a 10-year…

Round Rock was declared the No. 26 safest city in America for 2025 in a new study by personal finance advisors MoneyGeek. The website's experts examined the most recent FBI crime statistics (from 2023) to determine the cost of crime in 292 U.S. cities with populations over 100,000 residents.

The estimated cost of crime in this North Austin suburb – which the study calculated as the "societal cost of crime per resident" – was $575 in 2023.

Cedar Park holds the wealthiest ZIP among suburbs, but overall in the metro it ranks 18th. DAVE CREANEY

Austin Business Journal writes, "The Austin Business Journal recently revealed that the metro's wealthiest ZIP code is in the core of the city: downtown Austin.

But what about when you venture outside of city limits? That honor belongs to Cedar Park's 78613 ZIP code, which came in at No. 18 on the list.

American City Business Journals, ABJ's parent company, used a weighted formula with numerous factors, including per capita income, home equity, typical home value, estimated savings and poverty rate to determine the wealthiest ZIP codes.
