Improvements on RM 222

There are multiple projects planned and ongoing for 2222. One that is currently being worked on will widen the road from Bonaventure Drive to Ribelin Ranch Drive and include a new center median with turn lanes. It is expected to be completed by early 2020.

Improvements on RM 620

Taking RM 620 to 2222 will become easier by the end of 2020. According to TxDOT, they will be adding an outside northbound merge lane along RM 620 from Steiner Ranch Boulevard that will connect to a new bypass road to RM 2222. There will also be center-turn lanes and medians between the new bypass road and RM 620.

There will be a left-turn lane added on Bullick Hollow Road at the FM 2769 intersection.

There has been a discussion of adding medians along RM 620 through Lakeway. The proposed plan is medians on FM 620 from Lohmans Crossing Road to Lakeway Boulevard. The median installations are planned to be done before widening project of 620. The widening project will expand the road to six lanes. Construction is set for 2022.

Hamilton Pool Road Road Improvements

Hamilton Pool will be seeing improvements that have already begun construction. There will be increased safety improvements, as well as adding turn lanes at the entrance of the Hamilton Pool Preserve.
There will be improvements made and additional paved surface added from Vistancia Drive to Cueva Drive and will include 11-foot travel lanes for each direction, expanded shoulders and a continuous left-tun lane. It will run from Ranch Road 12 to Highway 71. There is not a set timeline on when this project will begin.

Highway 71 Improvements

Improvements for the Y at Oak Hill are coming. Named The Oak Hill Parkway project, it is set to begin construction by late 2020. Last year the official design for Oak Hill Parkway was chosen. The project includes 6 miles of Hwy. 290 to be expanded, with three main lanes and two to three frontage road lanes in both directions. The plans also show an elevated overpass for the main lanes over William Cannon Drive and flyovers to create nonstop access between Hwy. 290 and Hwy. 71 where there are currently traffic lights.
