Austin Business Journal reports, "Austin's housing market expects a flat year, but on the upper end of the spectrum high-spending homebuyers seem prepared to buck the trend.

Many luxury real estate brokers report activity picking up. Wade Giles, of the Giles Group at Compass, went so far to say he’s seen a “real frenzy” the past several weeks. High-end listings are grabbing multiple offers and open houses are bustling — a noticeable shift from last year.

"Texas sees largest population increase of any state for third consecutive year"

KXAN Austin writes, "For the third year in a row, Texas’ population increased more than any other state, according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.

As of July 1, 2025, an estimated 31,709,821 people live in the state, making Texas the second-most populous state behind California, which has more than 39.3 million residents.

The new estimates show Texas’ population grew by 391,243 since July 2024, or about 1.25%. Florida had the second-largest increase: almost 200,000, while North Carolina added about 146,000 residents.

In total, 45 states and the District of Columbia saw an increase in population over the year, while five states and Puerto Rico saw a decline in population.

"327-lot home development adds fuel to Uhland's growth"

Austin Business Journal shares, "More rooftops are set for Uhland as the town sits on the cusp of an anticipated boom.

The 88-acre Watermill neighborhood, which was developed by Ranch Road Development, is yielding 327 homesites south of Austin.
