New Home Co. will build on 105 homesites on this tract on the western edge of Georgetown. NEW HOME CO.

Austin Business Journal shares, "A California-based homebuilder is making a splash in Georgetown’s Bluffview neighborhood, where it purchased 105 homesites for more than $17 million.

New Home Co., which made its Texas debut in 2023 with the purchase of Katy-based Hamilton Thomas Homes, is now building new homes in the Austin region, according to an announcement. In addition to homes in Bluffview, it's at work building homes in Buda and Kyle, and it has plans to grow further, New Home Co. CEO Matthew Zaist said.

The 105 homesites in Bluffview consist of 65 lots with 50-foot frontages and 40 lots with 60-foot frontages, Zaist said. Homes on the lots will range from 2,100 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet.

Scarborough Lane Development's Sunfield neighborhood in Buda is the fastest growing growing community in the entire Austin-Round Rock metro.

Austin Business Journal reports, "Buda’s Sunfield is the fastest-growing neighborhood in the metro, nabbing the top spot after leapfrogging from the No. 8 position in 2023. See the list below this article.

Scarborough Lane Development’s Sunfield, a 2,795-acre master-planned community, earned first place on Austin Business Journal’s latest list of fastest-growing neighborhoods with 470 home starts last year. The list is based on data from real estate company Zonda.

There are eight homebuilders active in Sunfield, where homes can be purchased at prices much lower than the average home in the metro.

Austin Business Journal Reports, "the Austin-Round Rock metro area became slightly more affordable for homebuyers in 2023, but it’s still much more expensive to own within Austin's city limits than almost anywhere else in the region.

That’s according to recent data from Zillow Group Inc. analyzed by the Business Journals. In each of the metro's ZIP codes, the minimum annual income required to purchase a typical home declined anywhere from 4% to 18% in 2023, as of Nov. 30, compared to 2022, the analysis found. Annual mortgage payments also dropped, while median home values declined at a rate of 1% to 13% across the region.

More homes could soon rise in the neighborhood off Turnersville Road, in Austin's extraterritorial jurisdiction near the city of Buda. Austin's Planning Commission on Aug. 8 recommended to City Council the approval of the third phase of Turner's Crossing.

Meritage is seeking a final plat for 267 new single-family lots on more than 41 acres, south of the State Highway 45 toll road.

TheRealDeal writes, "a retail center serving two master-planned communities is on the way in the Austin suburb of Buda.

CLD Realty has proposed building seven one-story buildings with retail and restaurant space on a 5.7-acre site at 2260 Main Street, the Austin Business Journal reported. Dubbed Corner on Main, the development is currently under review by the City of Buda.

The 48,000-square-foot complex would cost about $8 million, and construction is scheduled to begin in March next year.

According to Austin Business Journal, "There’s another industrial development sprouting in the fertile I-35 corridor.

Mississippi-based EastGroup Properties Inc. broke ground Sept. 12 on Stonefield 35, a 275,559-square-foot project in Buda, the company announced Sept. 22. The development comes amid impressive growth, especially for industrial space, in the corridor between Austin and San Antonio.

The development will be built on about 21 acres at the northeast corner of I-35 and Robert S. Light Boulevard. EastGroup is constructing three buildings with varied dimensions.

The largest building will be 148,233 square feet and equipped with 51 dock doors and two ramps, according to marketing material. The building will have 195 parking spaces.

Doc’s Drive-In Theatre recently debuted on the market at a list price of nearly $4 million ($3.999 million, to be precise). The deal would include the business itself, as well as the land and structures.
